Cruiser Phil’s Haleakala Morning Bike

Cruise down the ever-changing landscape from golden Rolling Meadows, to the town of Paia approximately 26 miles away. You'll travel at a leisurely pace, pedaling past open fields and pastures, and a stunning Maui landscape spotted with colorful flowers and regal trees. Stop for great photo opportunities as your bike guide shows you the rich cultural and historical background of the area. Roundtrip transfers, certified cruise leaders, escort van, custom cruiser bicycles, windbreakers, helmets, gloves and foul weather gear are all included. Both tours will start the riding portion at 6500 feet. Bike down a volcano for an unforgettable island experience! It is the world's longest downhill bicycle cruise down the slopes of Haleakala, the largest dormant volcano in the world. The Sunrise Tour arrives at Haleakala’s Summit (10,023’) to view the sunrise at the rim of the crater whereas the Morning Tour arrives after the sun has already come up. You’ll be given a guided (1-1.5 hour) Interpretive Tour provided by a NAI Certified Guide of the park and the crater. You’ll then be taken just outside of the park’s entrance at 6,500 feet where you'll be fitted with your bike and gear.
- Meet with the MC&A Inc. representative.
- Depart Fairmont Kea Lani from the GROUP ENTRANCE at 7:00 a.m.
- Returns to hotel at approx. 4:00 p.m.
- All participants who plan on riding the bicycles should have ridden a bicycle with in the last two years.
- Recommend layered clothing, long pants and warm top over shorts and T-shirt.
- Please wear closed-toe shoes and protective eyewear (sunglasses or prescription glasses).
- Roundtrip transportation is included from all hotels

- Due to COVID-19, certain inclusions, meal options and capacities may be changed to adhere to local mandates, and current safety & health guidelines.
- Bike portion of tour begins at the 6500ft staging area and is 26 miles long.
- Height requirement is 5’. All riders must weigh less than 280 lbs. Experienced riders only, no beginners.
- Pregnant women, children under age 12, may not ride the bicycles but are welcomed as van riders.
- Riders above 65 years old may ride the bicycle if they are active and ride bicycles at home often.
- All riders must sign an Acknowledgment of Risk and Safety Consideration Form.
- Cancellations made after Friday, March 18, 2022 are non-refundable.
- Cancellation of trip due to inclement weather is at the sole discretion of the vendor.
- THIS TOUR REQUIRES A MINIMUM AMOUNT OF PARTICIPANTS TO OPERATE. SHOULD THE MINIMUM NOT BE MET THE TOUR WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDED IN FULL.
