Hawaii’s most “in-depth” volcano experience is here! Join our National Park Certified Guides on an adventure through the new and dramatic landscape of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park, and experience Kilauea Volcano, in a way never seen before. See how the historically large collapse of the Halemaumau Crater has changed Kilauea Volcano forever. Then we’ll venture onto private land to explore Kauhi Cavern- a lava tube with ceilings as high as 35 feet. This cave has many unique and notable features including its expansive rooms, bright golden walls and an “upside down” forest of roots hanging from the cave ceiling.

On this in-depth park experience, your interpretive guide will illuminate the historic events that recently changed the landscape of Hawaii Volcanoes National Park forever. Experience Kilauea Volcano in a way never seen before. Enjoy 2-3 miles of hiking around the park’s most dynamic terrain. Drive off-road to Kauhi Cavern- a private lava tube known for its bright yellow and gold microbial mats living on and accenting the cave walls. This lava tube is only accessible to Hawaii Forest & Trail guests. Enjoy late afternoon pupu (appetizers) on the farm surrounding our exclusive lava tube.
