Kualoa is located in an amazing valley on the island of Oahu which is home to some of the most famous sites you have ever seen on TV or in the movies. This classic location nicknamed “Jurassic Valley” has been the filming site of the blockbuster films like Jurassic Park, King Kong, Hawaii 5-0. The views and scenery are spectacular on this real working ranch and farm. Kualoa Ranch, family owned and operated, has as its mission to be a role model as stewards of the land through preserving, protecting and enhancing its natural beauty and culture, while developing recreational and agricultural enterprises compatible with the environment.
This morning you can go on a UTV Raptor, enjoy a nice Horseback Ride, or take a Jungle Expedition. Choose your tour to enjoy this memorable morning!
UTV Raptor Tour: Discover the wondrous beauty of Kaaawa Valley on your own UTV Raptor Tour (all terrain vehicle)! Kualoa Ranch is where you’ll discover some of the island’s best views away from the city on this two-hour experience. Expert ranch guides will escort you up the mountainside on trails that pass World War II bunkers and then down into a lush, green valley surrounded by the dramatic Kualoa Mountains. The valley and mountains have been the backdrop for famous Hollywood films such as Jurassic Park, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, WindTalkers and You Me and Dupree. You’ll pass through these shooting sites and more as you enjoy the great outdoors.
Horseback Tour: Enjoy magnificent vistas as you ride across Kualoa Ranch. On this 2-hour tour, the ride takes you into Ka‘a‘awa Valley where some major block buster movies were filmed. Movies such as Jurassic Park, Godzilla, Mighty Joe Young, Pearl Harbor, Windtalkers, You Me and Dupree, and who can forget the hit series Lost! What could be better than horseback riding in Hawaii!
Jungle Expedition Ride: Buckle up for an adventurous and rugged open-air Jungle Expedition deep into our beautiful Hakipu‘u rainforest. This lush and tropical valley was seen in Jurassic World, Kong Skull Island and Jumanji. Guests board one of our custom-built jungle vehicles for a 90-minute tour that rumbles along jungle trails, across isolated stream beds and powers up steep, bumpy hills for many spectacular views. Guests may also participate in a short hike to a scenic overlook with breathtaking views of Ka‘a‘awa and Hakipu‘u valleys.
Timing:
- Depart Turtle Bay Resort: 7:45 a.m.
- Check in: 8:30 p.m.
- UTV Raptor Tour starts at 9:00 a.m.; returns at 11:00 a.m.
- Horseback Tour starts at 9:00 a.m.; returns at 11:00 a.m.
- Jungle Expedition Tour starts at 9:00 a.m., returns at 10:30 a.m. (except on April 26: 9:20 a.m. - 10:50 a.m.)
- Depart Ranch: 11:15 a.m.
- Return Hotel: 12:00 p.m.
Please note: there isn't enough time to participate in more than one activity; please be sure to only choose (1).
- Participants must wear shoes that completely cover their feet.
- Please bring sunscreen; suggests guests use only mineral sunscreens based on active ingredients zinc oxide and titanium dioxide.

- This tour is operated on a commercial vehicle that may or may not have seatbelts. Parents may provide car / booster seats for children under 10 years to use if seat belts are available.
- UTV Raptor Guidelines:
- The minimum age required to drive a UTV Raptor is 21 years old.
- The minimum age requirement to ride on a UTV Raptor is 5 years old.
- Minimum height required is 4ft. 6in. tall.
- Maximum weight is 230 lbs.
- Horseback Ride Guidelines:
- The minimum age requirement to ride on a Horse is 10 years old.
- Minimum height required is 4ft. 6in. tall.
- Maximum weight is 230 lbs.
- Jungle Expedition Guidelines:
- The minimum age requirement to take tour is 3 years old.
- Recommend you bring covered shoes and longs pants.
- All Tours:
- Children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult at check in to sign a liability waiver.
- Participants are required to sign a Liability Waiver.
- Due to nature of the tours, pregnant women and people with back or heart conditions are not allowed to participate.
- There will be no refund for cancellations made less than 45 days prior to activity.

- THIS TOUR REQUIRES A MINIMUM NUMBER OF PARTICIPANTS TO OPERATE. SHOULD THE MINIMUM NOT BE MET THE TOUR WILL BE CANCELLED AND REFUNDED IN FULL.
