The Waikoloa Dry Forest is a unique, beautiful, and inspiring place to visit and give back to. Here, you will walk among ancient wiliwili trees, see rare native plant species, learn about the culture and ecology of the forest from knowledgeable hosts, and help restore the forest through stewardship. Experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to care for the land by planting native trees or collecting native seeds to help perpetuate one of Hawaii’s rarest ecosystems.
Begin your experience at the Dry Forest with a biocultural presentation, where you will earn about how important the knowledge and traditions of the indigenous and local people are protecting nature and ensuring sustainability. Next you will get a short orientation to the Hawaiian drylands, where you will learn about why the Drylands are an important ecosystem and how you will make a direct impact on the future success of the conservation site. After the short introduction the fun begins, and your team will transplant native seedlings back to the forest.
When teams participate in a Corporate Social Responsibility activity, it fosters stronger bonds, enhances employee retention, and boosts job performance. It also attracts purpose-driven individuals to your organization. Your team will take pride in knowing they are contributing to the preservation of the unique and vital dry forest ecosystem leaving a lasting impact for future generations.
