Exploring Hawaii Island’s Kona Coast on Captain Zodiac’s 24-foot “RIBs” is the experience of a lifetime! For over 40 years, Captain Zodiac has introduced visitors to an array of nature’s secret wonders that can only be experienced in a Zodiac Raft. The small group atmosphere of our expedition allows for a personal and intimate tour. Snorkel in the crystal-clear waters of Kealakekua Bay Marine Preserve, site of the Captain Cook monument. These highly maneuverable, military Zodiacs can get you close to the many lava tubes, sea caves, and blow holes of this rugged coastline. Keep a sharp eye, for you will see and encounter pods of Hawaiian spinner dolphins, sea turtles and humpback whales (January – April)! Kona is one of the few unique coastlines in the world with numerous species of wildlife year-round. We can encounter 17 different resident whale and dolphin species, turtles, sharks, Hawaiian Monk seals, and much more.
Timing:
- Meet with the MC&A Activity Staff at the LOWER LOBBY.
- Depart hotel: 7:00 a.m.
- Return to hotel: 1:45 p.m.
- Passengers should wear a swimsuit and cover up, bring their own hat, sunglasses, sunscreen, and towels.
- Passengers should also keep electronics like cameras and cell phones in a waterproof bag.
- A valid picture ID is required to consume alcoholic beverages. Must be 21 years and older.

- Pregnant women and persons with back problems are not permitted.
- For safety reasons, spray on sunscreen is not allowed… as it can make the surfaces very slippery.
- There will be no refund for cancellations made on or after Monday, January 5, 2026.

- Cancellation of trip due to inclement weather is at the sole discretion of the vendor.
- This activity requires a minimum participant count to operate. Should the required minimum not be met, the tour will be cancelled and refunded without penalty.
