We look forward to welcoming you aboard to share and experience a spellbinding sunset and remarkable 90-minute ocean adventure. Explore the Waikoloa and Kohala Kona coastline, catch the moment the sun slips below the horizon. You might even see the famous green flash! Bask in the romance and relaxation of a stunning Kona-Kohala sunset cruise.
The trip ends after seeing sunset, the time of which varies seasonally. Please check sunset charts for the day booked for approximate timing of return and off-loading thereafter.
During whale season December through April, majestic humpbacks are also likely to be spotted.
Timing:
- Meet with the MC&A Activity Staff at the LOWER LOBBY.
- Depart hotel: 4:20 p.m.
- Return to hotel: 6:40 p.m.
- Participants should wear or bring a cover up, in case the weather cools down once the sun has set.
- Participants should be prepared to get wet, bring their own hat, sunglasses, sunscreen
- Participants should bring a towel.
- Participants should also keep electronics like cameras and cell phones in a waterproof bag.
- For safety reasons, spray on sunscreen is not allowed… as it can make the surfaces very slippery.
- A valid picture ID is required to consume alcoholic beverages. Must be 21 years and older.

- This is beach boarding; wear easy to remove footwear for the barefoot vessel and be prepared to get wet.
- Alcohol beverages will be available after swimming and snorkeling.
- Participants are required to sign a Liability Waiver.
- There will be no refund for cancellations made on or after Monday, January 5, 2026.

- Cancellation of trip due to inclement weather is at the sole discretion of the vendor.
- This activity requires a minimum participant count to operate. Should the required minimum not be met, the tour will be cancelled and refunded without penalty.
